Well, first of all, I run this page as a hobby, documenting the Free products and services that I have found useful. Since I only use a 486DX66 with 8Mb, I am very conscious of performance considerations. Thats why you wont see any Java, Shockwave, etc on my site - they just kill a PC of this size! All the products I mention on the other pages have been tested in this environment and I will comment if they struggle on my PC. From surveys that I've read, at least 75% of PC users are struggling along with underpowered PCs like mine, so I will continue to do my reviews for as long as I can tollerate it. (You may have noticed that I haven't found a free SpellChecker for HTML pages yet).

I have been a computer proffessional for 30 years now, working on everything from PCs to mainframes.
